Science & Innovation in South Australia
The South Australian Government is a committed supporter of science and innovation, and we recognise the fundamental and transformational role these play in the advancement of our economy and society.
Raising community awareness of the importance of science requires education and communication across all demographic groups and communities in our State. The Science & Innovation Directorate is responsible for promoting the importance of innovation, science & technology to South Australia’s economic, environmental and social future. We promote and support science & innovation developments within government, academia, industry, and community sectors. We also ensure that leading strategic policy is developed in these sectors for economical and social benefit to the State. We achieve this through projects such as innov8, National Science Week and the Tall Poppy Campaign.
