BUILDING SOUTH AUSTRALIA'S INNOVATION SYSTEM CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
OPENS SOON

 

The Science and Innovation Directorate has whole-of-government responsibility to develop and implement strategies that:

  • Develop a coordinated and targeted approach to building world class higher education and research infrastructure in South Australia
  • Strengthen the State's skill base and improve entrepreneurial skills
  • Enhance the rate of commercialisation and technology transfer
  • Promoting the importance of innovation, science and technology to South Australia's economic, environmental and social future.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Constellation SA  to create a recognised network of alliances, each with its own specific focus (eg health, agriculture, defence).
  • Liaise with the Commonwealth and other State/Territory Governments on innovation, science and technology matters, including representation on high level inter-government forums such as the Commonwealth, State and Territory Advisory Council on Innovation (CSTACI). 
  • Provide executive support to the Chief Scientist of South Australia and the Premier's Science and Research Council.
